I've been extremely excited for this release ever since I first heard about it. A continuation of the Second Doctor's era, with room for new companions? Big Finish actually releasing Second Doctor stories? On paper, this set is a dream come true. In reality, it sadly falls flat of its lofty goals. Of course, this isn't the first time we've seen a version of Season 6B. It's been around since just before the Pertwee Era, with the TV Action comic strips. After that, we saw a bit of it in the Past Doctor Adventures novel, World Game, by Terrance Dicks. However, this is its first appearance in an Audio Drama (assuming we ignore The Annihilators, also released earlier this year, although that addressed it somewhat less directly).

Today we will be reviewing the modern story that has perhaps had the greatest impact on the show's history, The Day of the Doctor, the 50th anniversary special. As usual, spoilers will be present in this review.
This past week, I've been reviewing some of my favorite Christmas specials and today, on Christmas, we come to the most recent Christmas special, Twice Upon a Time, featuring the First and Twelfth Doctors.
I recently reviewed Remembrance of the Daleks, saying that I felt it was the best Dalek story I'd seen in Classic Who. This episode is the same, but for the Cybermen. It far surpasses many of the other stories I've seen and brings the Cybermen to life in a wonderfully creepy way.
To clarify, in this review, I'll be reviewing the audiobook of Terrance Dicks' novelization, Doctor Who and the Abominable Snowmen, read by David Troughton, son of Patrick Troughton, who played the Second Doctor. I will be discussing spoilers for this story, as an FYI.
Animators have recreated this missing episode into a wonderfully animated story. I recently watched it and really enjoyed it and noticed some interesting links to literature.
I'm just going to be reviewing the little ten-minute bonus feature of The Wheel in Space included on the DVD for The Macra Terror.
As this story is only ten minutes, I don't have much to say. The animation is at about the same level as The Macra Terror. The story isn't especially gripping. The destruction of the TARDIS added a bit of excitement to the story but after that scene was over, the story slowed down a lot. The graphics were good and the spaceship was well designed. I'm interested in seeing what the full episode looks like if the animators ever finish the story. Overall, this was a rather enjoyable short that I'm glad I took eleven minutes to watch. In this anthology by Titan Comics, the Doctor remembers past adventures and how they pointed towards the moment in which she regenerated into the Thirteenth Doctor.
With the lockdown came free miniature Doctor Who episodes and this was one of them. Featuring impressionists playing all fourteen Doctors, this story was monumental because it was the first meeting between every Doctor.
